Plano Parks & Recreation
Offers art classes for home schoolers during the day at Carpenter Park Recreation Center, you can visit their on-line catalog for a current class offerings.
ART House
The McKinney location offers Homeschool classes for ages 6-14 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 12:30-1:30. The small, structured classes provide students of all ages with an education in art theory and art history as well as the needed skills and techniques to make meaningful two and three dimensional art work. Each student's life will be improved through the art experience. Self esteem, fine-motor skills and overall scholastic achievement is improved through art education.
All ARThouse teachers hold a college degree in Art and are experienced in a variety of media. There is a 10% discount for siblings and class cost includes all supplies. Pecan Creek Art Studio in Princeton, TX
At Pecan Creek, students take oil & acrylic painting lessons.(and also unique craft classes). Students will paint a complete 16x20 painting. All paint and supplies are included! The classes meet once a week for 5 weeks, for a hour and half. Family discounts are given for siblings. Homeschool Art Classes for Children

I have taught art to children for the past 11 years in my home. I am happy to have a wonderful art classroom where children can be taught "how to draw what you see" while in a Christian environment. I have a B.A. in Art Education with a Certification for K-9 art instruction.
I teach three years of instruction using different drawing materials for each year. My main goal throughout is to teach each child "how to draw what you see". This is accomplished through a number of exercises, drawing alongside with me, drawing while looking at another drawing, and eventually drawing objects placed individually or in a still life before them. In years 2 and 3 each child has a sketchbook in which they are expected to draw assignments at home and then bring them back to class. Contact (972) 618-4146 or ceciliaandis@ mac.com
