PEACH Recital

Hello PEACH Families,

You're invited to begin signing up for the Annual PEACH Holiday Recital!  Your child (ages 5 & older) may sign up to participate in the Recital, Baking Competition, and/or Art Competition. Please read through the following details and sign up soon, limited number of spots available. 

**SIGN UP REQUIRED to PARTICIPATE!**

Date:  Monday, November 18th  (This is the Monday just before Thanksgiving.  Invite the extended family for a great show!) 

Time:  (please read carefully)

Set up begins at 6:00 for Baking & Art competitors only!

Judging of Art & Baking begins promptly at 6:30 

Recital begins at 7:00 pm

Location:  Hunters Glen Baptist Church, 4001 Custer Road, Plano

Recital participants:  This is a recital only, not a talent show.  No prizes will be awarded. (See Participation Certificate information below) A piano, small stage, and microphone will be available. Maximum time limit of *5 minutes* per performance! Some previous performances have involved playing an instrument, singing, reciting, doing a demonstration, or performing a short skit.  **You must rsvp by Friday, November 16th if you want your child's name included in the program.**  Please rsvp to me with your child's name, age, and what they will be performing.  There are a limited number of spots available and it is first come, first serve. 

Baking Competition:  We have two categories - Best Tasting & Most Creative.  (1 Category per baked item - You must choose which category each item will be entered in.) Awards presented to 1st-3rd place bakers in each category.  Tables will be provided for display.  A kitchen will NOT be available, so if your food needs to be kept cold, bringing your own cooler is recommended.  All baking must be completed at home..  Please bring your own cutting and serving equipment.  PEACH will provide plates, napkins, utensils, and cups of water.  Parents may assist for safety purposes only. Rsvp with your child's name, age, and category/categories they are entering by Friday, November 16th. Limit of two entries total per person.  The entries will be tasted/viewed by the judges beginning promptly at 6:30, then cut up and served after the recital.  Plan on all of your baked goods being consumed.

Art Competition:  Awards presented to 1st-3rd place artists in their age category.  Age Categories are 10 years and under; 11 years and older.  Tables will be provided for display.  You may bring an easel or bring masking tape/painters tape for hanging items on the limited wall space.  Up to three items may be brought, but they will be judged as one collection by the artist.  Please rsvp with your child's name and age by Friday, November 16th.

RSVP:  Recital participants and baking & art competitors must confirm by November 16th so we can make the necessary arrangements.  Please email Carrie de la Pena with your child's name, age, category, and what they will be doing.

Participation Certificates will be provided for all participants.  Parents will be responsible for picking these up at the recital and filling them out.  1st-3rd place prizes will be awarded Hobby Lobby Gift Cards at the end of the recital.
