PEACH offers Christian Drama Clubs for ages 8 & Up

These clubs allow students leadership opportunities in the field of Theater including stage management, acting, choreography, back stage set development, sound, and lighting.

The goal of all Drama Clubs is to provide opportunities to grow in theater experiences in a supportive, Christ-Centered club with a positive encouraging environment; as well as allowing time to make new friends and grow stronger homeschool friendships.

You must be a current PEACH member in good standing, and agree to the Drama Code of Conduct to participate in PEACH Drama.

Spotlight: Shining God's Light on the Stage

Ages 10 & Up. Meets 2pm - 5pm on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Fridays August through May.
Shining God’s light on the stage through fellowship as a cast, auditions, memorizing lines & blocking, two performances in the spring, along with lots of laughter. (Cost TBD)

Scene I Drama:
For ages 8 and up. Meets 12:00-1:30pm on 2nd and 4th Fridays August through March. We rehearse and “perform” for the class new scenes from a large variety of scripts each meeting, working on various stage skills. Cost is $15 per child for the year, or $10 per semester.

This is a scene-based group, focusing on acting with the option of directing, writing, and whatever else your creative mind comes up with. There will not be a single script/full cast performance. This will be individual/stand-alone scenes coming from a variety of public domain works (or an original script written by a club member) presented at the PEACH November recital and also at a showcase in the spring. Each scene will be different, and depending on what the members want to do with it, it may be focused on a specific drama skill, or it might be elaborate and active, dramatic, emotional, or comedic. You will be grouped based on ability and interests, with the possibility of being in more than one scene. My desire is for this club to meet each individual's needs, and thus able to be open to more ages and range of abilities. It has the option of being a single semester club, starting in the fall and offered again in the spring at minimal cost.

Scene II Drama:

Improvisational Drama:
Recommended for ages 10 & up. Improv will meet 12:00-1:30pm 1st, 3rd, and 5th Fridays, end of August through March.
No scripts! Just improv drama games designed to help you learn to think on your feet, listen to your teammates, be creative, and have fun! This is a great club for those wanting to improve their acting ability, speaking ability, stage presence, and confidence. We will "perform" at the PEACH November recital and again in the spring with the Scene Drama Club. This is also a low-cost, semester club. You can join for just the fall or spring or both. We also hope to take some field trips to watch and learn from other Christian-friendly improv groups in the area. $15/student

All minimum ages must be reached by October 1st and there is no maximum age. You can be 13 and join Scene 1. Whatever works best for you. So Much Drama!
